I build AI agents that get real work done.

Koushik Bhargava. Software Engineering – MTS at Salesforce. Hyderabad.

About

At Salesforce, I build AI agents and assistants that help employees get IT and HR help without leaving Slack or Microsoft Teams.

I go looking for problems I don't know how to solve yet. Most of what I know came from picking one up and working it out.

Off the clock, I play a lot of video games. Elden Ring has a hold on me that my skill level doesn't really justify.

Selected work

  1. An AI assistant for employees, inside Microsoft Teams

An assistant that brings together an employee's tasks, meetings and the files behind them, and lets them chat with an AI agent without leaving Teams. I built many of its core features in React and TypeScript: chat that streams the agent's reply as it's written, skills employees can put on a schedule, and connections to Microsoft 365. Later I moved the chat off its old messaging backend onto our new agent runtime, replacing about 2,800 lines of integration code with less than half that.

  2. A live view of AI agents at work

When AI agents handle IT work, people need to see what they're doing. I built the front end that shows the whole fleet of agents and lets you open any agent's session as it runs, streamed live from the server instead of polled every 5 seconds. I also wrote the identity layer of the Spring Boot runtime behind it, which works out who's calling and what they're allowed to see.

  3. A Claude skill that sets up a test org for you

Testing our features meant setting up a fresh Salesforce org by hand: licences, permissions and settings. I scripted the whole setup, including 174 licences, and packaged it as a Claude skill you trigger just by asking. I wrote evals to check it fires at the right moments and actually does the job, then published it to Salesforce's internal AI expert registry.

Experience

  1. Salesforce

    Software Engineering – MTS

Joined the IT Service team building Salesforce's Slack and Microsoft Teams integrations: admin setup, notifications and the Teams bot that delivers them. At the end of 2025 I moved to Employee Service, where I now build AI agents and the apps employees use to work with them.

  2. Smart Interviews

Software Developer and Instructor, promoted to SDI-2 in 2022

Built the online coding platform students practised on, plus a report that pulled each student's progress from HackerRank, LeetCode, Codeforces and CodeChef into one place. Also wired up the LeadSquared CRM, wrote Discord bots for channel access, rebuilt the front end in SvelteKit, and taught data structures and algorithms throughout.

  3. Cuemath, Toppr, Camp K12

    Curriculum design and teaching

Wrote a coding curriculum for grades 4 to 6 at Cuemath. Before that, taught coding online at Toppr and Camp K12.
